Which are the best steps to start up a new project?
Defining product specifications
By detailed discussion with the customer and an eventual visit to his production site, we get to know all the specified requirements of the product.
What are the parameters concerning the temperature and pressure. Is the piece designed to be used out- or inside or contact with chemical products and acids...?
Subjects like where may we localize the injection point, the air valves, the ejectors, ...
What about the finishing touch, lightly textured or polished, is there a need for a logo, removable or not, ...
It is also important to know how many pieces the mould has to produce during its lifetime.
These and so many more questions are asked in order to give us enough details to present the best offer for the product.
Design study
Simple sketches, sometimes handmade show the outlines of the product. These sketches are made in a way that the client can perfectly see (3D) what the piece will look like. A number of these proposals are made, leading to the final draft.
Detailed product drawing
If we agree with the draft we can start the complete detailed drawing of the product. For this we need to know all possible components related to the product. This way all measures and tolerances are finally fixed. This workout can be a CAD-CAM program.
Prototype
A prototype can be an enormous help to check that all of the details were taken into account. It is always easy to have a model for the visualization and possible previews for commercialization. It is still so that one model shows more than a hundred drawings.
Mould
We co-operate with domestic and foreign companies to construct the mould. In that way we co-operate with a few workshops, each selected by Euronyl. These workshops are judged in such way that, by their specific possibilities, all different kinds of moulds can be supplied. A detailed drawing of each mould is made and stored carefully so that we have a backup for eventual modifications.
Trials / Production
It is extremely important to make first shots with all the materials and production parameters that will be used later on in order to make a correct and complete judgement. For all of these steps we are using, of course, the needed internal know-how, machines and software.
